I DO BUSINESS., in partnership with Tecumseh Community Development Corporation (TCDC) , is delivering an entrepreneurship training program customized to meet the needs of 24 low-income, at-risk Aboriginal youth in the Southwestern, Ontario area and nearby Aboriginal communities. This one-year project will provide young Aboriginals with the skills, knowledge, resources and start-up support to successfully build their own businesses.
About the Program
Participants of the program will be provided with:
  • Training in entrepreneurship and job skills grounded in Aboriginal values and teachings
  • Wrap-around support services to ensure Aboriginal youth successfully complete the program
  • Expert support to develop a complete business plan
  • One-to-one mentorship from an experienced business professional to start up their business
  • Opportunities to apply for a micro grant of up $3000 to start their business
  • And much, much more!
The program will be held twice during this one-year project. Twelve Aboriginal youth, ages 18 to 29, will participate in each cycle. The program is 30 weeks in length.


This project has been generously funded by the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Employment as part of the Ontario’s Strategic Community Entrepreneurship Projects initiative.
